During this session you will learn how the CADLink Interface will automate routine tasks within the engineering department by allowing users to easily create and maintain item masters and bills of materials in the ERP system. CADLink is available for CAD applications like SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Solid Edge and others as well as for PDM applications such as SolidWorks PDM Professional, Autodesk Vault, and others. The bi-directional synchronization capabilities of the interface help engineers to identify discrepancies between the data in the CAD model and ERP system and to quickly and easily resolve them. Engineers can map various item data fields to the model properties, thus storing and synchronizing vital product information directly within the CAD model. You will have a chance to hear about the real-life experience that other companies had with implementing CADLink, why they value the tool and the benefits they were able to realize from using it. You will hear from Lisa Santoro from Goldenrod Corporation that uses CADLink with Autodesk Inventor, as well as from Glen Richardson from Warrior Rig Technologies that uses CADLink with SolidWorks. This session is perfect for Intuitive ERP, Made2Manage and Encompix customers not currently using this product. During this session you will learn how this interface can help you to:
• Create and maintain item masters in the ERP for parts or assemblies within the CAD model.
• Create and edit bills of materials records within the ERP by outputting them from the CAD application.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between the item properties in the ERP system and the CAD model.
• Manage Job BOM’s (Made2Manage version)
• Synchronize bills of materials in real time, while maintaining revisions control.
• Identify parts within the CAD model that should not be brought into the ERP BOM (e.g. reference models, etc.)
• Add parts to the ERP BOM that do not exist in the model (e.g. paint, lubricants, packaging, etc.)
• Store and synchronize the fields within the ERP item master directly within the CAD model properties.
